Lunch at Parkroyal

A sumptuous lunch treat at Hai Xiang Restaurant inside Parkroyal Hotel on Kitchener Rd. This is something nice to look forward. We been having buffet lunch for most of our Hotel site survey, & kinda can't take it anymore, so now it's time for a change : p

The usual Chinese style starter, pickles & peanuts.
This is good, real good... thick fish maw and mushroom soup. The fish maw alone is enough to satisfy my taste bud, it's so fresh & succulent. I dun take Chinese mushrooms but this certainly dun make the soup smell awful. : p

Prawn dumpling, 1 of my fav dim sum. Been craving for Dim Sum, finally got this to comfort me wahahaha...
Another kind of prawn dumpling, thumbs up : p
CodFish, this is the best codfish i ever ate. It's fresh & not fishy at all.

Another main dish, roast pork ribs. Very very nice lorh..... oishii ne..totemo oishii.. if i got 10 thumbs I will raise all up : D
LOOk at the end result! No porky smell at all, the meat is tender & not over burnt.
Broccoli with scollops, nice but I find it a bit oily.
Recommended dessert, chilled mango & pomelo sago.
The Restn is currently having promotion for UOB card holders, 20% discount. And also Imperial Feast, buffet lunch at S$28++/dinner at $38++.

Dinner at Glutton's Bay Hawker Centre

Have been waiting for this meal since long long time ago, been asking Budd to go for it few time, but always bad timing or weather no allowed coz it's an open air hawker centre. Saw alot of reviews on this Happy pot stuff & it stirred up my curiosities for wanting to try the food. And finally Friday nite I have a chance to go with Dar.
We were there around 8pm, surprised to see no crowd on a Friday nite. But I noticed tat he was abit reluctant to go ahead when he saw the food...but since we were there so I really dun wanna miss it no matter good or bad.
The weather was good too, at least for me : p We ordered a set for 2 pax at $13each that c/w hot pot & BBQ grill. I enjoyed it quite abit, but when I looked at him...hmm : ( he dun seems to be enjoying as much. He's perspiring & face long long ... :( the BBQ smoke was blowing directly at him & he got to shift his seating position many times. He's getting frustrated ... the happy pot will be unhappy pot soon....and it's written on his face "ONCE & FOR ALL"!!

While for me, I enjoyed the fun grilling more than the hot pot, coz the charcoal was not really burning and we have to wait quite long for it to boil. So we get the staff to heat it up again..spoil appetite : (

Over all, I do enjoyed it but I was running toilet few times due to the not very well cooked food. And dun think will go back again.

Malaysia Fresh Fruits Fiesta at Expo

Saw this giant jack fruit at the Malaysia Fresh Fruits Fiesta. Was worried it might fell off the table & hit on some1 toes : D Lots of exotic fruits and foods from Malaysia & Indonesia, it's nice to explore some of them. The fair will ends this weekend 26th July, so hurry down to expo if you like to try or buy great fruits/foods from our neighbouring countries.
And I also took some brochures at the tourism booth, hoping to go Island hopping someday at East Malaysia, Sabah - Sipadan, Mabul & Kapalai Islands : p

Compromising or Not?

Is Compromising important in a relationship?
A frenz told me this, compromising is very tiring in a relationship, & rather choose to give up the relationship then compromising just to make his partner happy. He wish to find a perfect partner that no need to compromise. I was stunned by this remarks! How can a person be so arrogant and ego? I do not agreed with him, if he can't compromise then i wish that he remain single forever! I think it's not abt compromising but is more like he don't love his partner at all. Y don't they think abt how to manage or how to improve the relationship instead.

Dun understand how can there be no compromising? Even towards frenz or colleagues we at time need to compromise each other in order to get things done. Furthermore, this is toward someone you love. Unless you don't love he/her at all then will be different story.

Compromising is also a way to maintain the relationship & bring it to another level. If we keep thinking of finding a perfect partner, than how perfect is perfect if you can't even compromise?

I was also told that cohabiting was preferred too. I am not against cohabiting but somehow I feel that y need to cohabit when both already planned to live together, isn't going thru a legal marry is much better? To me, cohabiting = no commitment & irresponsible. I am not an old fashion person but sorry to say that I still feel that being cohabiting instead of marry is actually an act of irresponsible.

Y do ppl think of cohabiting in the 1st place? Coz they are afraid of commitment, they are worry that they will be tied down by his/her partner forever. Subconsciously, they are just trying to protect themselves from getting hurt and to avoid doing those 'paper' work if things don't work out. Don't you think that's selfish & irresponsible? They are just acting like an irresponsible Coward, can run away as & when they like.

In a relationship we must know what we want & not just 'qin cai, qin cai' find a partner just to past our time. That's wasting both party time & youth. 青春一去不回来!

There are so many ppl in this world, it's not easy for 2 person to come together & fall in love. We shld cherish & treasure every moment we have. Marry is not the end of ur world, it's beginning of another life with some1 you love!
Love is unselfishness, love is patient, love is kind, love endures all things.
I may not be the most suitable person to comment so much but at least I know how to love whole heartily, I appreciate and contented with what I have .
However, all the best to my frenz & I hope someday you will learn how to love an imperfect person perfectly.

Their Wedding

This was the 2nd Malay wedding that I have ever attended and coincidentally also a mix-culture wedding : ) Was kinda shocked when I received his invitations. He used to sit opposite of me & we teased each other alot. I was his 'nanny' for 6months when he was in S'pore for attachment. Wow! how time flies... remember we were both hosting the big event during our Company Opening Ceremony & at that time he told me he will not get marry so young.. hahaa... ya men are flicker minded..: ) or maybe love is blind, it changes everything : D

Anyway, all the best to both of them & wish them a blissful marriage, happy ever after....

A beautiful out door wedding at Piai Plaza, it's giving me a hard time to locate the venue. It will be easiler if they just put opp Pasir Ris Park :s ...& really very hot & humid lor...but it's something diff compare to those traditional void deck celebrations.

Was there a bit late & miss the 1st round of ceremony 'welcoming the Groom'. Saw the newly weds taking pics in traditional costumes. It's kinda funny seeing him in those costumes ...heeheee..

The Bride & Groom went to change and it took them 2hrs to come back for the 2nd round of ceremony, hew..y take them so long...I almost melted liao .. : S Here they come... the Bride was covered by a fan sitted on the 'royal' seat waiting for the Groom to ask for her hand. And here come the same old playful Groom : D

Climbing the Corporate ladder is nvr easy, lota politics & arrowing. In order to survives ,we hav to make sure that we put on our full armour, and our ''bullets'' are fully loaded before we go into the "battle field" & win the ''battle'' beautifully....
