What a relief!!

We were all having a heavy heart since last week, after knowing that mum was diagnosed with cysts and has to under go a surgery this week. But after a further diagnosed by SGH Gynae, she was told that no surgery required as it's just a skin infection coz by some kinda bacteria and not cysts....thks God... we felt so much at ease and relief.

Shaked head to the previous 2 DR.... alamak how they diagnosed without even go into details! 1st, She went to Polyclinic & was referred to CSH for a minor surgery then the DR at CSH said it's cyst so can't do it, and referred her to KK women's specialist. But due to some bad experience before with CSH, we decided to go for a recommended SGH Gynae instead of KK's...anyway we made a right choice...Well, we have to count our blessing tat CSH can't do the surgery otherwise it will be 冤枉lorh
'mistake over mistake' err... (think no more CSH for our family ever after...)

Bro fetched us fr SGH & offered to buy us lunch at Waraku, since mum is fine now & just needed to be under observation & medication, she deserved a small celebration isn't it : )

Bro ordered the sukiyaki (すくやき)for him & mum. He's too hungry...I think.... pour all food in before I would snap a pic of the beef, tofu, veg etc.. & left wit a Udon in front of me : S

$48 for 2-3pax

I'm not fond of sukiyaki (すきやき), it's too salty for me, so I had set lunch instead. A+B at $9.80, Unagi Don + ChaSoba, yummy.. ; )

Promo for OCBC & HSBC card holder, beside this S$10 return voucher, there's also a 1 for 1 Ramen and some other stuff. We only have UOB card but was also given a $20 voucher...so I guess it applies to all credit cards.

And not forgetting to Praise the Lord, for his mercy & blessing to mum. Hallelujah!!!

SATS fam trip

Felt honoured to be invited by SQ to this familiarise trip at SATS, Changi Airport. No doubt an eye opening & a fruitful trip. We get to see how SATS process meals for all onboard passengers & their automated process was really amazing.. & not forgetting their kitchens, let me name some:
Hot Kitchen - for hot food ofcoz
Cold Kitchen - for cold dish like salads, sandwiches & desserts
Premium Kitchen - for celebrities chef like Sam Leong and others
Muslim Kitchen - for Halal food
Japanese Kitchen - Japanese Cuisine, air flown ingredients for Buz class ofcoz : ) economy class sorry hor but to taste ain't authentic food : (
Indian Kitchen - Indian cuisine, some of the ingredients also imported direct from India.
Bakery Kitchen - cakes & chocolate, was told that they supplies muffins to Starbucks & sandwiches to 711.
Dim Sum Kitchen - Dim Sum snacks, hand made dumpling skin.
Not only Kitchen, they have their own Butchery too... separated into few rooms for Pork, beef, fish.. and also another room for peeling purpose i.e shells items. Wow, very well organised isn't it?
With a total workforce of 2000. I just felt like I was in a super giant mall, wit all the stuff & food inside, so wonderful. Now we know why SQ rates are always on the higher end : p It takes so many manpower & a long 16hrs to process the meals before onboard flight. And food are always keep at below 15deg to maintain the freshness, hygiene & at an edible conditions. The whole organisation are indeed doing a great job in maintaining our SQ image & standard, very impressive.
Do we looked like we're going for a hot shower or SPA hahaa... no this is the hygiene's measures that we have to follow before entering the production field.
No photo taking allowed inside the production, wat a pity. So can only share with you the in-flight meals : p
Does this looks familiar to you? This is wat you will get onboard the flight.

A special order for Buz.class & 1st class travellers, Sliced fish noodles.
You can also go for Grilled Salmon or chicken pasta. " sir/mdm, fish noodles, grilled salmon or chicken pasta?", "sir/mdm, coffee or tea for u?" hahaa... I kept teasing CY with this sentence whenever we passerby a tray of food.
This is the best among all dishes, : p dark & white chocolate... all made in SATS's kitchen. Felt like ta pau this but very paisei so many ppl around.

Dinner at Lim Tua Tow Foodstreet

Juz a simple dinner at a restn near our hse wit mum & the girls. Hardly have time for us to come out for dinner together. Mum always busy with the little monster at home, and girls busy with school works if not will go out wit their frenz.
The ladies fr our family hav very small appetite so a light meal would just be enough for the 4 of us. But if the 4 Chua's men all turns up... it would be 4 x 4 dishes in order to cater for their hunger : D
Here goes our 1st dish, me & mum like this most. Four seasons bean with minced meat @ $8, healthy food, not oily & taste just right for us.

Nic's all time fav, Claypot tofu & scallop seafood @ $12. I like the tofu, very soft & actually it taste very soya , shld be hand made.
This is chef recommended, Ostrich meat in black pepper sauce @ $12. The meat very soft & tender, very yummy thou it looks very dark : D
Another Chef Recommended, Mongolian smoked duck @ $8. A bit on the salty side, and taste like bacon : p but it blends well with the brown sauce, yummy. There's more Chef recommended dishes, like Cabbage Chicken & Marmite pork ribs but we din order that, dun think we can finish it too : )
If you happens to pass by Upper Serangoon/ Boundary road, opposite Paya Lebar Methodist Church you will find this small restn. This restn serves good food wit reasonable price, almost 'zi char' price. After dinner you can walk a few more step down the lane & shop for durians/mango...& many many fruits.
Restaurant: Chui Xiang Kitchen
Address: 13Teck Chye Terrace (also known as Lim Tua Tow Foodstreet)
