Back to Christchurch

Our last stop, supposed to be the beautiful Wanaka Lake and a game at the Stuart Lasnsborough’s Puzzle World but too bad we couldn't made it. We were already half way down the road & again was snowing heavily, car lost grip again.. : ( but this time we put on snow chain & decided to make a U-turn. Well, safety was a concerned so we rather re-route than taking the risk. Look at the road, it's all covered with snow how to go further....

Get off the snowy mountain to a safer road, this route will take us 8-9hrs to reach Christchurch...tat gonna be a long drive...

When we reached Cromwell, we were told that the Lindis Pass was opened. Hooray..that means we could use a shorter route. But somehow, we were still worried & kinda phobia of the snowy road. Double checked the weather with i-site before we proceeded further. God has been merciful & graceful to us, this Lindis Pass has been closed for few days and now finally open. And the view was magnificent......

Hope u enjoy as much as we do .... : )
And end our journey with a small rainbow....

On the way back to Queenstown

After we finished the 1 1/2hrs cruise ride, it started to rain. Rush to our car before we got stuck at the harbour and started our journey back to Queenstown. Half way down the road it started to snow. Hooray... I finally can play in the snow hhahaaa.

We managed to pass the tunnel, but after few km we were stopped by the road block. We were told to put on the snow chain coz the road in front was snowing & slippery. He get off fr the ''comfort zone'' & fixed the chain. So poor thing... wat can I do??? Get off too, help him look look see see & sheltered him with umbrella. My Hero .. the 'Chain Man' hahhaa.. : D

Milford Sound

It's abt 5hrs drive fr Queenstown to Milford Sound. And heard that the journey to Milford Sound is very scenic, so we not gonna give it a miss. Woke up at 5am, to catch our 11am cruise. It's a law to carried snow chain along just in case it snow, so Dar already got it prepared nite before. Road was wet & slippery, and drizzling too. We pray hard that the Pass & tunnel will be open along the way.

Snow capped on trees, was snowing the nite before. Guess whose foot print? heheee....
The famous Real Journey Cruise. Not for us...: ) The Popular Red Boat ... also not our cruise : ) MilfordSound Cruise...yes this is the 1. Smallest among all, but the best. Tips: The smallest the cruise, the closest it gets to the waterfall & the wild life heheehehee.. The journey begins....with lota lota waterfalls & small rainbow around it. Didn't bring tripod, so most of the time "U take me, or I take u" ... and we have few pic of "us" : ( But I like this pic : } Our cruise actually went through this waterfall, and the water splashed into the cruise. Everyone started to scream & laughed..and ofcoz those standing outside get real wet.
Seal sunbathing on the rocks.
