Taiwan-Alisan

After 2days staying at Taipei, it's time for us to move up to the mountain : } Alisan. Weather was still good in the morning.. we had bot the HSR train ticket 1 day before, so we dun have to rush.

Depart at 9am,we can't find any place for our Bkf so just have to settle with the packed Brunch/ Bento, not too bad thou : } got Pork chop, egg, veg & rice.

Charlies the owner of Small Swiss homestay has arranged a tour guide, Mr Hsu for us. He pick us up from Chiayi Station & we proceed with our journey. Stop by a few places for sightseeing.

This place is the popular tourist attraction, the Heaven & Earth Hanging Bridge.

The Earth Bridge.

Towards the Heaven Bridge. It's believe that a couple walked through this bridge together, they will be blessed with an eternal marriage. So..ofcos I die die must walk through it lah!!! : }

It happened to be 1 of the Alisan Festival, we get a chance to see the Cultural wedding : }

and the food they eat.

Here's the group getting marry, some are real couples and some are just staff working there pretending to be couple to make it look grand : )

After the show, we went to Fenchihu, the old town of Alisan & the old rail way station.

Aiyu, the local dessert. Is best know as jelly/ Ou Yeo in S'pore.

This kind of flower that can be make into drugs, heard fr Mr Hsu

our forest walk begin... thou it drizzle abit, but the walk is so relaxing & I really love the whole journey.

Finally we are up at the home Stay. The view from Small Swiss, and their own tea plantation. The view is breath taking...

We only managed to stay 1 night here due to our tight schedule. On the 2nd day, David the owner's son drove us all the way to Hualian. The Weather was bad so instead of going by Yushan mountain which has a fascinating view, we have to go by Chiayi mainland road. Before we depart David bring us another round to the forest walk and we took a ride on the wooden train. Another flower found along the way.

I like this pic, look like those olden days ; } but too bad it's blurr.. : S

The rest... let the pic tell the story ... : }

Our stay at Small Swiss Homestay, Alisan.
1night accommodation full board + Tour around Alisan cost : NT14,000

Not cheap but i feel it's worth the price, coz we get to see alot of beautiful scenery & we also enjoyed the local food which not many ppl has a chance to try it.

Taiwan

The Journey begin.....

6th Nov, set off to Airport..& touch down at Taipei Int'l Airport at 5.40pm. The weather was fine. But was a bit surprise the sunset before 6pm. We were very tired & hungry after a 4.30hr flight in Jetstar without food & drinks.. & entertainment : {

Finally the bus reached Taipei city after an hr ride, we took the MRT to Ximen where our Hotel located. The transport at Taipei is 'amazing' hahaha.. all road sign in Chinese Traditional, for those non Chinese literate..sorry u r going to find it difficult. The Train is convenient thou, but again very 'messy' with too many signage and arrow pointing here & there.... confused..

After asking around, we finally found our Hotel... :s RainBow Hotel thou is right in the middle of Ximenting but during business hr, all road around that area are closed for shopper. A small hotel, abit of noise but strategic location for those who loves to shop.

Did a quick check in, & it's almost 8pm already. We have to rush for dinner, we were all famished.. Reached Shiling night Market, (the MRT to Shiling night market is at Jiantan... and not Shiling station, so misleading : { we got it mistaken but somehow we learn our lesson & get smarter haha)

Shiling food square, so many so many food... we walked around & found a place to settle for our dinner 1st then hop to another stall for dessert : p after that took some more snack along the way out..hahha so glutton & can't resist the food temptation.

Never ever came across my mind I will eat this stuff... '7 Li Xiang'=chicken backside. But since it's a 'delicacy' of Shiling, I mustn't give it a miss right. ok lah we will go for it.. & wow wow wow...it's fantastic.. MUST TRY its really taste so good. Not only this stuff, I tried the 'smelly beancurd' too, find it ok, not too bad. The smell is not as awful compare to HK's.

Basically, the 1st 2 days journey is abt eating, eating & eating.. The 2day we took a train to Keelung then transfer an hour bus journey to JiuFen, an old town and again eat, eat & eat... ofcoz wit beautiful scenary. We spent the whole afternoon there coz it's so relaxing & with many nice teahouse around that area how can we give it a miss. We found a 'hidden' teahouse, got to walk through a small cave to reach. The scenery there is breath taking & ambiance good & quiet.

it's right inside this cave, the feeling is like walking through the Cu Chi Tunnel in Vietnam hahaha

Baby Tara 111

Tara, a beautiful name for a beautiful bb.. Tara means 'Star", and is also an Irish name. Finally, Tara was born on 1st Nov'08.
A big star hang on the baby cot when Daddy Nick push her into Mummy Jo's ward. Heard from Mummy, bb Tara was nick name as 'Star Baby' by the nurses at Mt A. : } So she is getting popular among the new born ; D (actually the big star was created by Mummy for easy to locate her) hahaha.. wat a great idea!!!
Tara..Tara..Sleeping all the way.. : { we were there for 3hrs & din get a chance to see her open her eyes..But she is so cute with rosy cheek even in deep sleep : D
Mummy still look so fresh & energetic after 9hrs of contraction and finally 'download' the fat bb weighing 3.6kgs. Bravo... U did it. お目出度うご座います - Congrats to both Mummy & Daddy.

a healthy meal for Mummy provided by Mt A.

Daddy also did a great job, so he needs 'extra healthy' food to keep him healthy in-order to take care of both Mummy & BB. He told us that he was so touch when he saw Tara, guess it's a feeling that no words can be describe. Well, not all men out there will want to go/have a chance to go through this process. So lucky man cherish what you have now : }

Next another 5weeks, we will meet BB Jade from Mummy Peggy..... "}

Church Wedding

A blessed day! Finally got a chance to view a Church Wedding.. being a Christian for half of my life but only attended once Church Wedding outside S'pore & this is the 1st time I can witness it here : } kinda looking forward too : p

Reached Faith Community Church at East Coast around 13:30hr, jus nice for receptions & catch up with some ex-colleagues. A very simple set up but that's not important, a blissing marriage that is blessed by GOD is more important : }

I like the stage set up with the slides behind : }

here comes the Bride walking down the aisle with her brother ... I was blocked by the photographer... : ..{ but luckily frenz also helping in taking pic, so hehehe...i 'steal' his photo hahhaa...

so much blessing... but ..eee..look all those inconsiderate photographer blocking our view again, nobody know wat's going on up there... : { (learn the lesson, shld have 'live feed' on stage hehee)

by the time we get to see..they already done with the exchange of vows & rings... Photographer out there, watch out okie "PLS BE CONSIDERATE OKIE, NOT U ALONE WANT TO TAKE PIC LEH!!! WE ALSO WANT TO SEE WHAT'S GOING ON THERE & GIVE OUR BLESSING OKIE!!!" : S

Racial harmony : } Shushil & Regena, CONGRATS!!!
see the contrast between us both wearing white & she looks extremely fair & gorgeous ofcoz : }

A group pic, this is funny coz half of the Church are occupied by Bride's colleagues. When the Emcee called out to us, he was shocked to see so many of us walked up to take this pic, and we have to break into 2 groups hahaa : D
Catcha... haha another couple, waiting for their invitation next ; }
Hi-tea reception in the Church
