MALACCA

Day 1 con't
========
There's 1 thing i like abt Malacca, it's one of their culture & heritage - Pernarakan. It's a mix culture of Chinese & Malays from the way they dressed & the food they eat, it's interesting. The Pernarakans family are considered well to do in Malacca & they pass on their own unique culture from generation to generation. The Baba will marry the Nyonya, and they have to get marry among the same enthic group to keep their culture going.
After some input from the tour guide & with my little knowledge, i started to blah blah alot to my colle. & was mistaken as a nyonya hahaha.. partly becoz i can speak malay. (thks to my 7yrs stay in Malaysia).
Well, after 3hrs bus ride finally we arrived at the Hotel, Renaissance Malacca.
Was in this hotel few yrs back with Missy Ho & ex colle. While waiting for our rooms we took a 'family' pic hahaa.. the gal at the left 'self-declare' she is Dar's daughter coz she looks abit like him.. small eyes n cubby face..

then here goes the 'Tai Low' hahaa or Mr Pinky.. : D

We got a great room at 15floor (btw my room mate is a gal huh..) the view is good. And I love the bed & pillows, it's so soft. It's like u sinked deep into it when u laid down.
we only have 5mins to settle down, then started to move on for the sightseeing. Our 1st stop is at a chinese temple. Don't ask me which temple..coz I ..heyhey.. can't remember (my short term memory relapse : p)
2nd stop to Jonker steet, the place where they sell antique , traditional costumes & other stuffs.

the street was so quiet, only a few of us walking...
n their antique kinda wooden doors.. still very traditional
and big display on all lamp post.
my 1st stop at jonker street, wat else go for "chendol" , quick quick ' mai du liao' ' cheong ha..' the most popular shop at No.88 for Chendol, ( Chendol - a kind of dessert with coconut milk & gula melaka)

they have a lots of varieties, from original taste to durian & mango..wow i love this : }
no more waiting, quick quick ordered an original taste...wow... heaven.... i have a fancy for Gula melaka & this chendol really bring out the aroma & sweetness... Only selling at RM2+ per bowl, cheap & nice inside the dessert house, it's very pernarakan. With the old old pic & antique everywhere. we all gather around enjoying our chendol. Y Dar look so down huh, mayb he dun like his durian chendol hehehe : p next time have to stick to original taste, it will never go wrong : }

see the display on the walls, full of memories.. I like this place
so authentic ...n best of all they played those 70s Chinese songs by Chai Qin. The feeling of oriental in pernarakan ambience, very comfy.

to be con't.....
