A rare opportunities to travel with a group of ladies to this beautiful Island and on a New Year Day. Wow.. Thanks to my dear friend Jessica's wedding. We were all invited to her wedding at Tawau, Sabah, East Malaysia and taking the opportunity to visit this wonderful Island right after her wedding: )
My 1st reaction to her invitation "Congratulation but where is Tawau?" I never heard of this place, until she mentioned "a place surrounded by beautiful Islands, a well known Sipadan Island for Divers". Oh.. that Island hahaha..I know Sipadan and was almost there during my diving days :)
It's a nice beautiful Island, located in the Celebes Sea off the east coat of East Malaysia. A paradise for divers, beautiful sandy beaches, coral reefs and rich in marine life. It is a protected site and under conserved habitat, hence limited tourist are allowed per day in the Island. We will be staying in another Island next to it, Mabul Island instead.
Getting there needs a bit of an effort. Took a flight from SIN-KL-Tawau (abt 4hrs in total) Another 1 hr on the road form Tawau town to ferry terminal. Slept throughout the journey, exhausted due to the wedding party. A simple yet blissful wedding, very touching. Wish her & hubby, lot's of happiness :)

Wish I could stay here longer, 2D/1N is too short. Happy moment always passes very fast. Someday I wish to be back again, with someone special :)
